CAMRA Victoria members vote each year to choose the pub that best exemplifies the ideal place to enjoy good beer. The award is chosen based on the quality and choice of beer served, and the ambience of the pub and it's staff.

The Campaign for Real Ale Society of British Columbia (CAMRA BC) is dedicated to the promotion and responsible consumption of naturally-crafted beers.

Affiliated with the 66,000 strong CAMRA in the United Kingdom, the Society supports the brewing of traditional styles of beer in the traditional manner, using traditional ingredients. In 1971 a group of beer lovers in England formed CAMRA to combat the replacement of traditional regional beers with "mainstream" factory beers that have had most of the aroma and flavour pasteurised, chilled and filtered out of them. There are eight branches of CAMRA across British Columbia.

Canoe wins gold in Toronto!  Our 2007 Fall seasonal brew, the Copper Bock, wins top honours at the country's national brewing awards in Toronto!

Wine Awards

• After having been previously recognized in 2005, Canoe was once again in 2007, awarded the Bronze Glass Award by the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. The festival included 48 events and 900 wines from 156 different wineries, representing 14 countries. There was record attendance at the festival with over 17,500 people attending.
• Two years in a row (2003 & 2004) Canoe was also awarded the Best Small Wine List Award by the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival.
